Nana's Birthday

Bird/Baby Bath

First the birds found a bird bath on our deck...
Then Luke found some water to splash in!

Birthday Snowstorm

On Aimee's birthday we got a few inches of snow, at least enough to introduce Luke to it and build a snowman. Luke didn't help with that much, except to contribute a few of the accessories. Unfortunately, no one has actually taken us up on the offer on the sign.

Luke explored the snow a little; he tried trekking in it but lost his balance a lot and had a few faceplants.

After his gloves were soaked and his cheeks were nice and rosy (about 15 minutes after we went out - just about as long as it took us to get ready) Luke was ready to go inside, and he let us know. This is our door, but he also tried a few of our neighbor's doors, either because we were too slow to let him in ours or because he wasn't 100% sure that he had the right one.

These snowpants came with Luke's coat, and we got a kick out of how wide they are. He looked hilarious in them.

Talking on the Phone

Luke likes to get phones and walk around with them, babbling. He usually holds the phone upside down and closer to his shoulder than his ear. And if there's really a person on the other end, he won't say a word. He only likes to talk to the air. And push the buttons, which so far hasn't had too many negative consequences, but Aimee's afraid that if she keeps letting him use her phone, we'll end up with a phone call to China pretty soon.

More Kitchen "Help"

This time it was self-inflicted, but no less of a mess! Luke had a blast helping with the muffins, though.

Fun Times at the Children's Museum

When Aimee's sister Kristen came to visist, we went to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis. Luke loved this slide, until he tried walking down instead of sliding. The faceplant put him in a bad mood, at least until we moved on to another activity.
This particular train table was at the Children's Museum, but there are a couple in Bloomington that Luke has played with and he absolutely loves them. The more he plays, the more he figures out how to keep the trains on the track, use them to push each other through the bridges, and slide them down the hills. He always has a blast when he plays with them.

The sand pit was crowded so we didn't spend much time there, but once he figured out how cool the sand was Luke enjoyed himself.

Luke liked picking the flowers more than planting them in this garden. We'll have to work on that.
